The struggle is real, but so is the joy!
Life is hard. Imperfect. Messy. Sometimes it even feels unbearable. But the presence of adversity doesn’t have to mean the absence of joy. In fact, sometimes our struggles are the very catalyst for living the life of abundance God designed us for.
I was 32 years old when I was diagnosed with MS, an incurable and often debilitating auto-immune disease. The news and subsequent health challenges made me doubt the likelihood of ever living a full life. But, God.
See, the truth is that God’s promises always hold more power than our struggles. When God promises us abundant life in His word, there are no disclaimers attached. No fine print that requires the circumstances to be just right or demands that our actions deserve it. Actually, in my experience, it’s often in the most unexpected places where we discover it most.
